Introducing the BOONKAJ Collection, a fusion of culture, storytelling, and artistry. Boonkaj is a Miriwoong word meaning ‘emerging' or 'coming out’. The collection celebrates the emergence of designs by textile artists from Waringarri Aboriginal Arts. Inspired by traditional knowledge of bush plants and fostering the maintenance of cultural traditions, artists have created a unique fashion range made from plant inspired motifs, hand-block printed onto fine linen.

Boonkaj is more than a collection of beautiful garments. Supported by elders, Boonkaj is a regenerative project honouring cultural heritage and storytelling while enabling new artistic expressions and directly supporting the well-being, economic livelihoods and potential of Indigenous women from Miriwoong Country in the East Kimberley.

Boonkaj embraces the slow and sustainable fashion movement, with only limited quantities released at a time. All the fabrics are meticulously hand-printed by Waringarri artists and garments are made in Australia.
