This image on the cover shows an area of the artist’s traditional country in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia. The Keep River flows through the centre of the image, as it passes through a large shallow swamp called Larrgen. The surrounding open grasslands are marshy during the wet season. The winds blowing across the open country create movement in the land. For the artist this movement of the grasses is evidence that the spirit of culture is alive in her country.
