This print shows a place called Goongawayinji (Pocket Springs) in Ngarrgooroon, the artists's traditional country east of Warmun (Turkey Creek), Western Australia. This is an owl (dumbun) Dreaming place.  In the Dreamtime two owls went into a cave (nawan) there.  They were watching two young boys who had stolen food from Boodarril, the Lizard.  The owls went away and told Boodarril that the boys had stolen his food.  Boodarril told them "Well, we'll punish them two....we have to lock 'em up!"  Boodariil went to another animal called Galooring who opened up a big black rock.  Boodarril got the two boys and said "Get in there."  The boys went in and the rock closed over them. They are still there.  Today there is a spring (Pocket Springs) were lots of bamboo of the type used for spear shafts grow.

In the print the two owls are shown at the bottom in the cave.  At the centre is the hill where the cave is located and on either side of it are other hills in the surrounding country.
