Support Women's Cultural Practice

The Waringarri Textiles program enables young women to engage with older women in cultural practice, to share knowledge, learn new skills and to develop their potential. It connects youn women to cultural traditions such as bush food knowledge, stories and collection whcih inspires their beautiful designs for textiles and homewares. These unique and beautiful creations directly support the economic livelihood of Indigenous women.
Your donation will support the long term development and expansion of this project and create opportunites for young women.
$100 - will provide 6 metres of linen and enough textile ink for an artist to hand block print.
$500 - will provide enough material, ink and tools for a group of young women to hand block print textiles for one week
$1000 - will provide a bush trip for young women, their children and senior women to identify and gather bush tucker and medicine to be used to create new designs for a textile workshop.
