"This is my mother's Country." The painting represents an area of Country known as Doojem. Now situated within the Keep River National Park the area shows the Keep River gorge. The Keep River flows in a curve in the upper section of the painting with the little run off creeks that appear during the wet season.The lower section of the painting shows Jemarim - Flying Fox Springs accessible from Newry Station. The springs create three large billabongs. The red forms represent the ant pits of the open country. Ant pit is good bush medicine.
