This is my Grandmother's Country at Binjin - Bucket Springs at Keep River National Park near Kununurra WA. This painting represents the knowledge of my Country and the skills that I have gained from my grandmother. The line on the bottom of the artwork represents the Keep River, and the arch shapes at the top of the painting are the hills where we now have the community near. The dotted circle represents a fresh water spring. The snake at the bottom is our creator of the rivers & keepers of the springs.
