This image represents my father's country and the junction of Victoria River and the Wickham River. the river flows through a gorge just ahead of the junction and Bizmark Billabong is represents between the two rivers. My father names and shared these places in his paintings as an act of knowledge and to assert his cultural status as traditional law man and custodian of this place. I am doing the same as I follow on his legacy in my painting and cultural practice.
