Chris Griffiths attends the Australian Tourism Exchange in Brisbane.
Waringarri’s head tour guide, Chris Griffiths, travelled to Brisbane in April, to attend the 2025 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) - Australia’s largest business to business event. Over four busy days, it was a packed schedule of meetings, promoting Waringarri Art and Culture Tours to international tourism representatives and connecting with tourism industry professionals from around the world.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with and learn from an inspiring collective of Aboriginal tourism operators. It was also exciting to get a sense of the growing global interest in Australian Indigenous tourism, with more visitors seeking authentic and immersive cultural experiences.
Chris described the exciting atmosphere as a reflection of our name ‘Waringarri’ - meaning “many people all coming together”.
