This print shows the artist’s grandfather’s country called “Doojum” – Bucket Springs near Keep River National Park in the Northern Territory. This country is associated with Butterfly Dreaming. This is the place where the Butterfly camped in the dreamtime. The print shows the spring and the caves where there are lots of colourful butterflies. The dreamtime snake that travelled through this country is shown as well as objects of aboriginal art and culture including a didgeridoo, clapsticks, spear, boomerang, a carved boab nut and a shield.
